Answering mode
You can select between answer with message recording" and answer only" modes.
The answering machine is provided with pre−recorded outgoing messages at the
factory. These outgoing messages are played if you do not record your own outgo-
ing messages.
Answer with message recording
(OGM 1)
An outgoing message is played to the callers after which
they can leave a message (max. length approx. three
minutes). The answering machine can save up to 55 in-
coming messages with a total recording time of up to 11
minutes.
Answer only
(OGM 2)
An outgoing message is played to the caller after which
the connection is ended. This mode is automatically ans-
wered when the message memory is full.

Press the
button for 2 seconds. Switch between OGM 1 and OGM 2.
Recording/Playing outgoing message
1.
Press the
button for 2 seconds.
2.
After the acoustic signal: Speak your text loud and clear towards the answering machine.
3.
Press the
button to end recording.
4.
Press the
button to play back the current outgoing message.
You can repeat this procedure as often as required. A new recording dubs over the
old recording. Therefore, the old recording need not be deleted.
Deleting an outgoing message
Your own outgoing message will be deleted and the pre−recorded outgoing message is resto-
red.
1.
Press the
button to play back the current outgoing message.
2.
Press and hold the
button during playback to delete the outgoing message.
The pre−recorded messages cannot be deleted.
Setting the ring delay
This setting enables you to ensure you have enough time to take an incoming call before the
answering machine switches on and takes it. You can select between 2 and 9 rings before the
call is taken or the you can select the tollsaver function. This setting is particularly useful in
conjunction with the remote access function. When this function is set, the answering machine
takes an incoming call after 5 rings as long as no new messages have been recorded. If new
messages have been recorded, however, the answering machine switches on after 2 rings. In
the case of all other settings, the answering machine switches on after the set number of rings.
