Fan Headers
The X8DA6/X8DAE has six fan head-
ers (Fan1 to Fan6) and two CPU fan
headers (Fan7/Fan8). All these 4-pin
fans headers are backward compat-
ible with traditional 3-pin fans. How-
ever, fan speed control is available for
4-pin fans only. The fan speeds are
controlled by a Hardware Monitoring
setting in the BIOS. (The Default set-
ting is Disabled.) See the table on the
right for pin defi nitions.

Wake-On-LAN
The Wake-On-LAN header is desig-
nated JWOL on the serverboard. See
the table on the right for pin defi ni-
tions. You must also have a LAN card
with a Wake-On-LAN connector and
cable to use this feature.

LAN1/LAN2 (Ethernet Ports)
Two Ethernet ports are located on the
I/O backplane. These ports accept
RJ45 type cables.
Wake-On-Ring
The Wake-On-Ring header is des-
ignated JWOR. This function allows
your computer to receive and be
"awakened" by an incoming call when
in the suspend state. See the table on
the right for pin defi nitions. You must
also have a WOR card and cable to
use this feature.
