5-2 Connecting Cables
This section covers instructions on how to connect cables to the serverboard.
Connecting Data Cables
The cables used to transfer data from the peripheral devices have been carefully
routed in precon
fi gured systems to prevent them from blocking the fl ow of cooling
air that moves through the system from front to back. If you need to disconnect
any of these cables, you should take care to reroute them as they were originally
routed and connected after reconnecting them to the serverboard and peripherals.
If you are con
fi guring the system, keep the interior system air fl ow in mind when
routing the cables.
The following cables need to be connected for the SuperServer 4027GR-TR/TRT
system:

Two (2) HDD power extension to backplane cables (CBL-0449L)
•
Two (2) cross-over mini SAS HD to 4 SATA w/ SB cables (CBL-SAST-0591)
•
Eight (8) 8-pin to two 6+2 pin 12V GPU power cables (CBL-PWEX-0582)
•
Eight (8) cooling fan power cables
•
Front panel cable
•
Chassis instrusion cable
