5-4 Installing Hard Drives
Installing a Hard Drive
Before adding a hard drive, you must remove the DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive.
1. Open the chassis cover.
2. If you have not already done so, remove the fan tray. For more information
on removing the fan tray, see the Maintenance section located at the end of this
chapter.
3. Remove the CD-ROM drive. To do this, remove the two screws holding the drive
in place. One screw is external. The other is internal.
