KVM Port (USB/VGA/Serial Port)
The KVM port, located next to the
External SAS port on the I/O back-
plane, provides USB, VGA and Serial
connections. These connections can
be used for remote console via BMC
IPMI. See the table on the right for
pin de
fi nitions.

Fan Headers
The X8DTS-F has three fan headers
(Fan1 - Fan3). These 4-pin fans head-
ers are backward compatible with
traditional 3-pin fans (which do not
support fan speed control). Fan speed
is controlled by Thermal Manage-
ment via Hardware Monitoring in the
Advanced Setting in the BIOS. (The
default setting is Disabled.) See the
