4-10 Accessing the Backplanes
The chassis includes three backplanes--two connecting to the front drive bays and
one connecting to the rear drive bays. The two front backplanes are held together in
place with a chassis bracket. The rear backplane is held in another chassis bracket.
Removing the Front Backplanes
1. Power down the system as described in section 4-2 and remove the chassis
cover.
2. Disconnect the cabling to the backplanes.
3. Remove the screws that secure the backplane bracket. There are two on each
side of the chassis, four on the chassis floor, and two on the top of the bracket.
4. Gently ease the backplane bracket up and out of the chassis.
