Additional Pump Connections and Equipment
1.
Connect the Reducer to the end of the Common Tailpipe using a 4” Butt Joint Clamp. Ensure a minimum of
2" (5 cm) clearance between the Reducer and the Pump Inlet.
2.
Install the Flexible Boot Connector between the Reducer and Pump Inlet, to reduce vibration and noise
transmission, using a gear clamp at either end, as shown in Figure 36.

Seal all joints and seams using high temperature Silicone Sealant (RTV Silicone).
