SEEDING
Seed distribution
The planter is delivered with two sets of plates, chosen by the customer; other sets can be
acquired according to the seeds to be planted. The following details must be kept in mind:
Bases, seeding headers and accessories:
Seed header with triggers and stars for; soybean, sorghum, cotton and wheat. (Figure
34).
Seed header with triggers for sunflower and maize/corn (Figures 35)
Seed header for peanuts (Figures 36 & 37).
Change of seed plates/discs
Take off bolt A in Figure 38, and lift the header lid B.
Replace the plate, take special care that the
word “arriba” which means “up” is in facing up.
Notice that the plate fits exactly over the
hopper sprocket.
Once the header lid and the plate are
removed, if excessive wear is noticed due to
the friction of seeds in C, remove the three
screws with a screwdriver and take off the
hopper base ring and turn it to the other side, it
is double faced. This can only be done once
the upward side has wear. Place and adjust
the same screws that were loosened.
The hopper base has a small hole with a cap
shown as D, this is for cleaning purposes.
Never leave seeds in the hopper from one
season to the other.
Remember that when changing the plates, the
seed scraper: E height must be also adjusted.
