STEP 35

Remove the upper journal bearing and thrust
washer, if supplied, from the bearing plate.

STEP 36

Remove the idler shaft and high-speed shaft
assembly by lifting straight up.

STEP 37

Remove the tilt pad bearing.

STEP 38

Remove the lower journal bearing.

STEP 39

Remove the lube pump from the bearing
plate. The longer two of the four bolts are
used to hold the pump in the bearing plate
and the shorter bolts hold the lube pump
together.

STEP 40

Remove all lube jets and plugs, flush with
solvent, then blow out all the lube passages.
