7. Place the drive on an antistatic mat.

8. Remove the mounting grommets and screws from the drive.

Replacing the Diskette Drive

1. Take the four grommets and screws that you removed from the defective diskette

drive and install them on the replacement drive.

Install the grommets in the lower set of holes as shown in

FIGURE 9-11

2. Set the diskette drive switch. Follow either Step 2-a or Step 2-b.

a. If the diskette drive has a switch on the side of the drive, set the diskette drive

switch to Position 0, all the way to the rear (right).
