Removing the Speaker Cover
7. Use the screwdriver to deflect the third tab, behind the top corner of the speaker
cover, and remove the speaker cover.
Caution –
Use care when working near or handling the speaker to avoid damaging
the speaker surface. Do not touch the diaphragm with tools or your fingers. Grasp
the speaker by the metal edges only.
8. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws that secure the speaker
to the system chassis.
Save the screws for installing the replacement speaker. See
FIGURE 8-6
.
Insert small, flat-blade screwdriver
into slots on underside of chassis.
Push up on tabs to disengage
speaker cover.
