6. Holding the VSIMM by its edges, remove it from the slot and place it on an

antistatic surface.

11.4.2

Replacing the VSIMM

1. Carefully remove the new VSIMM from its protective packaging and place it on

an antistatic surface.

The bag that the VSIMM is packed in makes a good antistatic surface.

2. Find the VSIMM slot and unlock (press down) the ejector levers at both ends of

the connector.

3. Align the VSIMM with the slot.

Hold the VSIMM by its edges and orient it so that the two notches at the bottom of
the VSIMM line up with the two tabs in the VSIMM connector. See
