Starting the automatic splice
Here is a summary of the splicing operation procedures.
1: Slip a protection sleeve over the fiber.
2: Strip the fiber coating and clean the
fiber. If you have performed an arc test,
prepare the fiber again.

Making a splice
Be sure to slip the fiber protec-
tion sleeve over one of the fibers
to be spliced before stripping and
cleaving the fibers. The fiber pro-
tection sleeve cannot be installed
after splicing.
