Introduction
SELECT switch feature
The SELECT switch helps you select splice and heater programs when the
touchscreen does not work. Follow the procedures below.
1) Turn the power OFF. (if the splicer is powered on.)
2-A) If you have not set a start-up password, turn the power ON while keep hold-
ing down the SELECT switch until "Splice Program" screen is displayed. (Refer
to Page 2-9 of Guide to Operation.)
Go to step 3).
2-B) If you’ve set a start-up password, turn the power ON while keep holding
down the SELECT switch until a start-up password entry screen is displayed.
Enter your start-up password referring to the instruction below.
HEATER key 1: Moves the cursor to left*
RESET key: Moves the cursor to right*
POWER key: Moves the cursor down*
SET key: Enters the number/letter
Holding down the key marked * when the cursor is at the end will cause
the cursor to jump to the other end.
Once the start-up password matches, the splicer will show “Splice Program”
screen. Proceed to step 3).
3) Select splice program with HEATER keys, and then determine with SET key.
4) "Heater program" screen is displayed. (Refer to Page 2-10 of Guide to Opera-
tion.) Select heater program with HEAT keys, and then determine with SET key.

touchscreen does not work.
