6.3.2 Controller Unit Replacement Procedures (One Drive Unit Has Failed)

When One Drive Unit Has Failed
1. Prepare a new drive unit and a new controller unit as specified in "Appendix D Replacement Parts."
2. Confirm which drive unit has failed through the drive status indicator or buzzer.
3. Turn off the power supply of the host computer.
4. Disconnect the SATA Host cable and the SATA internal power cable. Then remove the
SATA Mirror
Drive
from the host computer.
5. Push the "PUSH" mark on the front lever and open the lever.
6. Pull out both drive units one after the other.

7. Insert the good drive unit into the new controller unit.
Please keep the location of the drive unit (number 1 or 2) as it was before.
With the front lever closed, push the drive firmly right into the unit using both hands.
