6.3.1 Controller Unit Replacement Procedures (Both Drives Are Good)

When Both Drive Units Are Functioning Normally
1.
Prepare a new controller unit as specified in "Appendix D Replacement Parts."
2.
Turn off the power supply of the host computer.
3.
Disconnect the SATA Host cable and the SATA internal power cable. Then remove the
SATA Mirror
Drive
from the host computer.
4.
Push the "PUSH" mark on the front lever and open the lever.
5.
Release both drive units’ lever one after the other and then pull it out.

6.
Insert the drive units into the new controller unit. Make sure drive unit numbers 1 and 2 are kept as
they were before replacement.
With the front levers closed, push the drives firmly right into the unit using both hands.
