Service repair guide
Repair, if the pump is removed from the sprayer. Disassemble the pump.
1.
Remove the packing nut
(202) and spacer (228) for
neck adjustment.
2.
Unscrew the inlet valve
from the cylinder.
3.
Disassemble, clean and
check the inlet valve. A
hook may be required
to dismantle the O-ring
(227).
4.2.
NOTE: The bushing can
fall from the cylinder with
the piston rod.
5.
Remove the piston rod
from the bushing or remo-
ve the bushing from the
cylinder.
6.
Unscrew the piston valve
from the piston rod. Clean
and inspect the parts. The
piston has a special stain
which secures and seals
the thread. Do not remo-
ve the stain. LOCTITE only
needs to be applied to the
thread after the compo-
nent has been dismantled
and reassembled four
times.
4.1.
Use a hammer to tap the
piston rod out of the cylin-
der or turn it over and tap
the piston rod out against
a workbench.
WARNING
Hazard caused by cracked parts
Do not clean or wipe off the piston valve thread. Cleaning
the piston valve thread could destroy the specific sealing
stain and cause the piston valve to become loose during
operation, which can lead to the pump bursting and result
in serious bodily injury.
7.
Remove packing pieces
and rings from the piston
rod.
8.
Remove the neck packing
pieces and rings from the
cylinder. Dispose of the
neck packing pieces and
rings.
