Cleaning

=

DANGER

Water ingress leads to short circuit.

Explosion haz-

ard!

Clean in accordance with protection class IP65.

-  Use a damp cloth to clean devices in explosive hazardous areas. This

prevents electrostatic charge.

-  In case of damp cleaning: use water or mild, non-scratching,

non-chafing cleaners.

- Do not use aggressive cleaners or solvents.

Disposal

- Observe national, local and legal regulations concerning disposal.

-  Recycle each material separately.

Service, maintenance, repair

=

DANGER

Explosive atmosphere.

Explosion hazard! Risk of

burns!

Do not repair defective or damaged devices.

Replace them. Do not rebuild or modify the device

in any way.

With rough conditions, we recommend routine maintenance as follows:

1. Check actuator for easy operation.

2. Removal of all dirt particles.

N.B.

The transmission of one switching command from transmitter to re-

ceiver lasts approx. 80 to 100 ms on basis of the EnOcean data trans-

mission. The switching signal of a transmitter must not be generated

in shorter time sequences otherwise this signal will be suppressed.

Subject to technical modifications. Reconstruction and alterations at

the device - which might affect the explosion protection - are not al-

lowed. Furthermore, EN 60079-14 has to be applied for the installation

of electrical equipment in explosive areas. Moreover, the ATEX test

certificate and the special conditions therein have to be observed.

steute does not assume any liability for recommendations made or im-

plied by this description. New claims for guarantee, warranty or liabili-

ty cannot be derived from this document beyond the general terms and

conditions of delivery.

Installation, mounting, dismantling

=

DANGER

Leakage caused by untight cover.

Explosion hazard!

Risk of burns!

 Do not open the device!

Mount the wireless switch on an even surface. The wireless switch

must be installed according to the mounting and wiring instructions

of the receiver. Accordingly, the wireless range depends on the lo-

cal conditions. Thus, the radio signal can be strongly affected by

conductive materials. This also includes thin foils, e.g. aluminium

laminations on insulation materials.

Design of wireless range

The radio signal is attenuated on the way from the transmitter to

the receiver. In addition, the radio signal is attenuated/influenced by

obstacles. The degree of attenuation depends on the material of the

obstacle. The following tables serve as a guide.

Penetration of radio signals:

Material

Penetration

wood, gypsum, glas uncoated

90…100 %

brick stone, press boards

65…95 %

armoured concrete

10…90 %

metal, aluminium lamination, water

Application and operation

=

DANGER

Explosive atmosphere.

Explosion hazard!

Protec-

tive cover over contacts must be intact.

-  Use device only within the permitted electrical load limits (see

technical data).

-  Use device only within the permitted ambient temperature range

(see product label and technical data).
