and engineers.
It is important that your organization adopt some basic safety measures to ensure
overall safety of the workplace. First and foremost all operations should be executed
under supervision of a supervisor. He or she is responsible for discharge of all safety
measures. All the safety provisions must be brought to the attention of everyone
employed at the location where the machine is operated or maintained. A list of all
adopted safety measures should be displayed at a prominent place to attract attention
of the operators and engineers.
2.3.2 Working in accordance with procedures
Always work in accordance with the procedures and never deviate from them.
2.3.3 Safety warnings
This document contains a number of special symbols and conventions that the user
must understand. For the symbols in the text, see section Document conventions (on
page 7) .
2.3.4 Personnel
Operating, maintenance and repair personnel, as well as anyone who is around this
vehicle lift should be aware of the possible dangers. This recommendation applies
regardless of other regulations that are issued by a higher authority or included in a
(safety) standard. The owner must ensure that employees are qualified to perform the
activities involved.

Only trained and qualified operators may work on the vehicle lift. Inexperienced
operators can only work on the vehicle lift under supervision of an experienced
and trained person.
WARNING
Persons under 16 years of age are prohibited from working on this vehicle lift
in any way whatsoever. Children under 14 years of age are not allowed in the
immediate vicinity of the installation.
