Mounting the machine (fig. A1)

The machine must be screwed to a workbench.

Mark the position of the mounting holes (11) on the workbench.
Drill holes at each of the marked positions, adjusting the
diameter and depth of the holes to the screws used.
Place the machine on the workbench and insert the screws
into the mounting holes.
Firmly tighten the screws.

Setting up the machine (fig. A1 & A2)

The machine can be set up in two operating positions: in the
cut-off saw position (fig. A1) and in the table saw position (fig. A2).
After use, the machine should always be left in the table saw
position.

Setting up for use in the cut-off saw position:

Loosen the screw (4) a few turns.
Raise the upper table top (18) while holding the head at the
handgrip (2) in the lowest position. Tighten the screw (4).
Pull out the lock knob (8).
Carefully raise the head.
Remove the lower guard (16).

Setting up for use in the table saw position:

Place the lower guard (16) on the lower table top (12).
Push in the release knob (3) and lower the head.
The saw blade is fully covered by the lower guard.
Push in the lock knob (8).
Loosen the screw (4) a few turns.
Carefully lower the upper table top (18). Tighten the screw.

Adjusting the sawing angle (fig. A1 & B)

The default angle between the saw blade and the saw table is 90°.

Use a set square to check the angle between the saw blade
and the table (12). If the angle does not measure 90° adjust as
follows:
Loosen the lock knob (6) and move the head so the saw blade
reaches a 90° angle.
Loosen the locknut on the adjusting screw (20) and screw the
adjusting screw in or out to achieve a 90° angle. Retighten the
locknut.
Tighten the lock knob.

Adjusting the bevel angle (fig. A1 & C)

The max. bevel angle is 45°.

Loosen the lock knob (6) and turn the head to the utter bevel
angle.
Check the bevel angle using the scale (7). If the angle does not
measure 45° adjust as follows:
Loosen the locknut on the adjusting screw (21) and screw the
adjusting screw in or out to achieve a 45° angle. Retighten the
locknut.

Adjusting the riving knife (fig. D1 & D2)

Raise the head.
Loosen the screws (22) a few turns.
Adjust the riving knife (23).
Tighten the screws.

Replacing the saw blade (fig. E1 & E2)

Raise the head.
Loosen the screw (24) and remove it.
Open the blade guard (14).
Use the spanner (27) to loosen the fixing screw (28) and
remove it.
Remove the outer flange (25), the old saw blade (29), and the
inner flange (30).
Clean the flanges.
Place the inner flange, the new saw blade, and the outer
flange. While placing the saw blade, make sure that the teeth
point to the direction rotation as shown.
Replace the lock screw and tighten it firmly.
Adjust the riving knife.
Close the blade guard.
Replace the screw (24) and tighten it.

Setting the mitre angle (fig. A1)

Loosen the lock knobs (9).
Set the required mitre angle using the scale (10).
Tighten the lock knobs.

Setting the bevel angle (fig. A1)

Loosen the lock knob (6).
Set the required bevel angle. The setting can be read from the
scale (7).
Tighten the lock knob.

Adjusting the combined parallel guide and mitre fence
(fig. F & G)

The guide fence is used for parallel guiding or sawing mitre cuts
with the machine set up in the table saw position. The guide fence
can be mounted both to the left and to the right of the saw blade.

Slide the guide fence (17) with the holder (31) in the guide rail
(32).
Loosen the set screw (33) and set the protractor (34) at 0°.
Tighten the adjusting screw.
Move the guide fence until it is in front of the saw blade.
Tighten the lock knob (35).
Loosen the lock knob (36). Set the guide fence so that the
guide profile (37) is just out of reach from the saw blade.
Tighten the lock knobs.
Use a set square to check the angle between the protractor
and the saw blade. If the angle does not measure 90° adjust as
follows:
Loosen the set screw (33) and turn the guide fence so that the
profile is at a 90° angle.
Tighten the adjusting screw.
Loosen the screw (38) and adjust the pointer (39) so that it
registers 0°. Tighten the screw.

Setting the guide fence for straight cross-cutting (fig. F & G)

Slide the guide fence (17) with the holder (31) in the guide rail
(32).
Set the protractor (34) at 0°.
Set the guide fence so that the guide profile (37) is just out of
reach from the saw blade.

18 Upper table top
19 Upper guard

Ensure that the riving knife is always correctly
adjusted:
The distance between the riving knife and the teeth
of the saw blade is less than 5 mm.

Setting the guide fence for mitre cutting (fig. F & G)

The mitre angle is infinitely variable from 0 - 45°.

Slide the guide fence (17) with the holder (31) in the guide rail
(32).
Set the desired mitre angle using the scale on the protractor
(34).
Set the guide fence so that the guide profile (37) is just out of
reach from the saw blade.

Setting the guide fence for ripping (fig. F & H)

Slide the guide fence (17) with the holder (31) in the guide rail
(40).
