- After placing the last cam (7), put the spacer ring(s) (6) back in place (depending on the
case).
- Replace the spacer ring (5).
- Lubricate the end of the cam shaft (3) and the pressure cap (2) with oil (See "Table of
equivalent oils and greases", page 41) .
- Position the compression cap (2) so that the tongue of the cam shaft coincides with the
groove of the compression cap.
- Fit the locking tool in place.
IMPERATIVE
Check that the indexing plate (8) is correctly secured.
Note :
The locking tool is fixed on the cam shaft (3), below and in contact with the
indexing plate (8). It prevents the cam shaft (3) from rotating by means of a tab
which bears against one of the feet (9) of the indexing plate (8).
- Pre-tighten the 4 screws (1) on the compression cap in the 1, 3, 2, 4 to a torque of 77 Nm.
- Fully tighten the 4 screws (1) on the compression cap in the order 1, 3, 2, 4 to a torque
of 132 Nm.
