NOTE
Using Telnet to change the admin password does NOT affect the admin password assigned in the
User Administration web page. If you want to change the password for BOTH admin ID types, use the
User Administration web page, Modify User option.
Using an FTP client
The steps below describe how to use an FTP connection to execute FTP commands on a specific Remote Server
Management over IP card.
To use an FTP client to access Remote Server Management over IP card system configuration data

From the Remote Server Management over IP Web Server Security configuration tab, select the Allow Telnet
and FTP connection option, and click Apply Settings.

From a DOS prompt or FTP client, type the following command:
ftp <Remote Server Management over IP card IP address>

From the FTP prompt, log in to the Remote Server Management over IP card as user Admin.

You can now access the standard FTP commands and execute them on the Remote Server Management over
IP card.
