APPENDIX C: SETA COOLING BLOCK 13880-0 

The cooling block is used to accelerate cooling of the sample cup between tests, when the cup has been 
heated to above ambient temperature. 

To use the cooling block, carry out the following steps :- 

1)  Store the block in a refrigerator or in cold water. 

2)  Remove the sample from the cup.   

3)  Clean the cup.   

4)  Reset the flash detector probe by pressing the reset (set temperature) 

button 

. 

5)  The display will show the temperature of the cup. 

6)  Place the cooling block in the cup.   

7)  Monitor the temperature of the cup. 

8)  When the temperature reaches at least 10°C below the required test temperature, remove the 

block. 

9)  Set the new test temperature.
