This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
are not allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children
less than 8 years.

1. Place the food dehydrator on a suitable surface (not on a metal surface; not on fabrics etc.).
2. Prepare the pieces of food. Distribute them evenly on the required amount of trays, taking care that they do not
touch each other. To dry very small pieces of food, use the mesh tray. To prepare fruit leather use the fruit leather
tray. Place the mesh tray and the fruit leather tray each on a dehydration tray.
3. Put the trays in the food dehydrator and close the door.
4. Insert the power plug into a suitable socket. An acoustic signal sounds, all of the select buttons light up and the
display shows 88:88 hours. After 5 seconds the select buttons go off, the select button TEMP/TIME flashes
and the display shows 00:00 hours.
5. Now press the select button TEMP/TIME, the display shows the preset temperature and time of 70 °C and 10:00
hours.
6. If needed you can adjust the preset temperature and time. To adjust the temperature press the select button
TEMP/TIME, then the b/- in order to choose the desired temperature in steps of 5 °C from 35 °C to a
maximum of 75 °C. Press the select button TEMP/TIME again to switch to the time display. Pressing the buttons
+/- again you can select from 30 minutes to a maximum of 24 hours in steps of 30 minutes.
7. By pressing the START/STOP button the device starts operating.
8. During operation the display switches from time to temperature every 10 seconds.
9. To change the set time or temperature while the food dehydrator is operating, press the select button TEMP/TIME
and the +/- buttons.
10. To interrupt or prematurely stop the drying process, press the ON/OFF button.
11. After the set time has elapsed, an acoustic signal sounds, the drying process is stopped automatically and the
display shows “End”. The fan keeps running for 10 seconds.
12. Open the door and remove the trays.
13. After use, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to turn off the unit completely and allow it to cool.

The dehydrator PROFESSIONAL has an additional function for drying at room temperature. To do this, press the
select button TEMP/TIME to display the temperature. Then press the “-“ button until "FAN" appears in the display.
In this setting, the fan runs without the unit heating up. This function is particularly suitable for gentle, energy-efficient
drying with optimum air circulation on warm days and especially for nuts whose oils would become rancid when
exposed to high temperatures.

This unit is equipped with an overheat protection, which provides automatic shutdown at high temperatures. In this
case, unplug the power cord and allow the unit to cool for a few minutes before restarting the drying process.
