S3 IN 3 S T EPS

Use the MALLEODYN® S3 immediately after the injury or in the acute phase in the fully rigged

state plus cooling pad.

Step 1

Remove the cooling pad of the fully upgraded brace

Step 2

Remove the side rail with one click. To do this, press on the orange outer strip and pull the rail out

upwards

Step 3

Remove the figure 8 strap rein positioned at the bottom of the front edge by loosening the Velcro

Adjusting the reinforcement rails

• Loosen all fasteners (dorsum of foot, anterior shin fastener, posterior upper and lower fastener).
• Position the foot in the brace. Make sure that the heel rests in the recess provided

• Adjust the tension of the anterior and posterior closures so that the lateral malleolus is centred in

the designated recess of the lateral reinforcement shell

. The medial plastic splint should also

be positioned so that the medial malleolus remains free of pressure.
• First close the foot strap and then the lower leg strap. To do this, click in the orange fasteners and

adjust the straps to an optimal tension

Adjusting the straps and Velcro fasteners

• If necessary, shorten the protruding Velcro ends on the dorsal closures that you have adjusted to

position the lateral reinforcement bars

• Shorten the lower leg strap by releasing the lower end from the hook claw, tightening the strap at

the lower end and then cutting it flush with the edge of the plastic rail

. The upper Velcro faste-

ner is for fine adjustment by the user.
• Adjust the individual heel width with the Velcro under the sole

Dismantling the MALLEODYN

• The reinforcement shell of the lateral splint can be disassembled according to the course of the-

rapy. To do this, press the orange outer strip and pull the splint out upwards.
• The figure 8 strap can also be disengaged analogous to the course of therapy by loosening the

plantar Velcro connection with the brace

• Essentially, the indication for and duration of wearing of any orthopaedic device in general, as

well as the presence of any of the conditions below in particular, should be discussed with the

  doctor who is in charge of your treatment.
•  Check the functioning of the product with your doctor or specialist retailer.
•  The product is designed to treat one patient.
•  Do not wear the product directly against open wounds.
•  In order for the product to have a long service life and function, it may not be worn in conjunction

  with oily/greasy or acidic products, ointments or lotions.
•  The product can come into contact with splash water.
•  Please always close any Velcro fasteners present properly. Damage caused by improper closing

of the Velcro fasteners does not constitute a reason for complaint.
• In the event of serious incidents when using this aid, immediately contact your doctor, your

health care supply retailer or contact SPORLASTIC directly at [email protected] to report the

incident.
• Any improper modifications to the product and/or improper use of the above-mentioned product

exclude any product liability on the part of the manufacturer.
• Product may contain metallic objects. We recommend not putting them in contact with electroma-

gnetic interference.
• Possible health-related mutual risks or other disadvantages with certain treatments that may arise

in association with the use of the product must be discussed with the doctor in charge of treat-

ment.
Please return the packaging and the product to the local recycling collection system. Please

comply with local regulations.

complies with the packaging legislation in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Before washing, remove the additional side reinforcement rail from the outer plastic rail by unclicking

it and removing it upwards. Close all Velcro fasteners.
We recommend washing the product gently in lukewarm water (30°C) with mild detergent and air

drying. Do not dry the product in the tumble dryer, on the heating or in the microwave. You can use

the laundry bag provided to protect other garments during the washing process.
You can store the disarmed side reinforcement rail and the disarmed figure 8 strap in the laundry bag

provided if you want to put them back in.

Please ensure that the product is stored in a dry place and is protected against moisture and sunlight.

Store the product at a normal temperature and humidity.
