der Heizung oder in der Mikrowelle. Sie können den mitgelieferten Wäschesack verwenden, um
andere Kleidungsstücke bei dem Waschvorgang zu schützen.
Die abgerüstete seitliche Verstärkungsschiene sowie den abgerüsteten 8er-Zügel können Sie im
mitgelieferten Wäschesack aufbewahren, sofern Sie diese wiedereinsetzen möchten.

IN T ENdEd USE
MALLEODYN® S3 is a removable ankle brace for dynamic mobilisation in a defined position.
INdICAT IoNS
• Conservative / postoperative
• Acute ankle injuries
• Acute capsular ligament instabilities and ruptures
• Chronic capsular ligament instabilities
• Supination trauma
• Ankle sprains
• All indications where stabilisation or movement restriction of the ankle joint with subsequent func-
tional mobilisation of the injured or damaged structures is necessary
CoN T r A- INdICAT IoNS
• Allergic, inflammatory or injury-related skin changes (e.g. swelling, redness) of the body areas to
be cared for.
• Impaired circulation or lymphatic soft tissue swelling.
• Neurogenic disorders of the sensory system and skin trophism in the body area to be cared
for (sensory disorders with and without skin damage).

If used appropriately and correctly, there are no general side effects, intolerances with long-term
effects or allergic reactions known to date.
IN T ENdEd PAT IEN T TA rGE T GroUP
The target group is all patients, taking into account indications and contraindications. Instruction and
allocation of the correct size is carried out by medical professionals.
PU T T ING IT oN A Nd USE
• We recommend wearing a stocking under the brace.
• Open the figure 8 rein at the rear two velcro ends and the orange click fasteners on the lower leg
and foot sections.
• Place your foot, at a 90° angle, in the opened brace
1A . Position your foot so that the outer ankle is
centred in the recess of the side splint 2A .
• Position the enclosed cooling pad from the inside between the stocking and MALLEODYN® S3. The
position is variable according to your injury 3A .
• Click in the orange foot fastener on the inside of the foot and retighten the strap with the Velcro
fastener.
• Close the click fastener on the lower leg by inserting the orange insertion lug into the plastic shell,
then fold it back and click the push button into the plastic shell. If necessary, regulate the tension of
the lower leg strap via the upper Velcro fastener 4A .
• Close the figure 8 strap by crossing it over the top of the foot and leading it backwards towards the calf,
where you fasten it with the Velcro ends 5A .
• Check the fit of the brace. It is important that your ankles are free of pressure and centred by the ana-
tomical side splints on the leg. The positioning of the side splints can be adjusted by the interaction
of the front and rear Velcro fasteners. In this case, please consult your orthopaedic and medical
supply dealer.
Application of the cooling pad
• Position the cooling pad, with the textile side facing the skin, anywhere inside the brace between the
stocking and the brace. We recommend intermittent cooling in the acute phase.
Store the cooling pad for cooling in the refrigerator only, not in the freezer.
Please consult your doctor about the use of the cooling pad.
