Use the communications test to verify the operation of the RS-232/
RS-485 Comm port.
The communications test requires a loopback connector. You can construct a
simple loopback connector as follows:

To test the Comm port:
1. Use the [NEXT] or [PREV] keys to display Comm on the
test selection screen.
2. Press [
] to initiate the test.
The DTAM Plus will continuously send out and receive a message at the
same port. The message is DTAM Plus self looping serial test
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789.

3. Press any key to terminate the Comm Port test.
The next test selection screen is displayed.

display Reset DUT in the test selection area. Press [
