Installing the Spectra BlackPearl NAS Solution in a Rack
• Unpack the rack-mount kit and identify the components listed in the following table.

Inner Rack Rails

Inner rack rails attach to the sides of the
BlackPearl NAS chassis.

Outer Rack Rails
2
Outer rack rails attach to the posts of the
rack. The chassis-mounted inner rack
rails will slide into the outer rack rails.
The following items are shipped in the Open Me First box

Inner Rail Screws

Secure the inner rack rail to the chassis
• BlackPearl NAS 4U chassis use

screws.
• BlackPearl NAS 2U chassis use

screws.

Outer Rail Screws

Attach the rail assemblies to the rack.

Washers

Used with the outer rail screws to attach
the rail assemblies to the rack.

Chassis Screws

Secure the chassis to the rack.

Circular Cutout Rack Adapters

(optional)
Optional adapters attach to the ends of
the outer rack rails, allowing the rack kit
to be installed in a circular cut-out rack.
