Gearbox - lubrication access points
Half Shaft - lubrication access points
Grease Points
Lubricate the points indicated below using type LIS 3 grease.
Gearbox Lubrication
The illustrations opposite show the lubrication
access points for the gearbox and the half shaft
drive.
A. Filler Plug
B. Level Plug
C. Drain Plug
Lubricant level should be checked on a daily
basis during work and topped up only if
required.
Checking the level is by removal of plug ‘B’ –
lubricant should be inline with the bottom of this
aperture. Topping up the lubricant is performed
via filler plug ‘A’ to a point where the oil starts to
drip out of plug ‘B’ aperture. Replace and
tighten the plugs before using the machine.
Gearbox oil should be replaced annually
–
draining the gearbox is via plug ‘C’.
