Appendix C: Troubleshooting

FTS Systems FlexiCool

Symptom

Possible Cause

Remedy

Unit will not control and/or the
Process Value (PV) Display on the
SOLO controller is flashing

PV is above the upper span limit

Wait several minutes as the
system cools. The condition will
self- correct.

PV is below the lower span limit

Turn off the main breaker to permit
the system to warm naturally.

External Pencil Sensor (RTD) not
connected

Verify that the external pencil
sensor (RTD) is connected to the
jack labeled SENSOR on the back
of the unit and that it is in contact
with the fluid / vapor that is being
controlled.
