2-3. Paper FG Sensor (SE-935 Board)
The paper FG sensor rotates the capstan motor, detects the
sensor output at that time and determines a proper thresh-
old level. Therefore, adjustment is required when the SE-
935 board is replaced.
Procedure
1. Turn off the power of this unit.
2. Replace the SE-935 board.
3. Close the door in the state that only the printing paper
is loaded.
4. Turn on the power while pressing and holding the
←
and
→
keys simultaneously.
The service mode is started.

Press the
←
and
→
keys continuously until “S” is
displayed in the upper-right position of the LCD
screen.
5. Press the MENU key when “LOAD RIBBON” is
displayed on the LCD screen.
6. Select “<SETUP>” using
←
and
→
keys.
7. Select “SENSOR ADJUST” using
↑
and
↓
keys.
8. Select “PAPER FG” using a
→
key.
9. Press the EXEC key.
The adjustment is started. Check that “PAPER FG
ADJUST OK” is displayed.

When “PAPER FG ADJUST NG” is displayed, check
that a paper FG sensor and harness are correctly
installed and perform readjustment.
10. Install the ribbon in this unit.
11. Press the MENU key when “READY” is displayed.
12. Select “<PRINT>” using
←
and
→
keys.
13. Select an arbitrary pattern using
↑
and
↓
keys.
14. Press the EXEC key and check printing.
2-2. Ribbon Mark Sensor
(LE-352/SE-934 Board)
After the ribbon mark sensor adjusts the light-emitting
amount (LE-352 board) to a proper value, it determines the
threshold level on the light-receiving side from the sensor
output (SE-934 board) at that time. Therefore, adjustment
is required when the LE-352 or SE-934 board is replaced.
Procedure
1. Turn off the power of this unit.
2. Replace the LE-352 or SE-934 board.
3. Close the door in the state that only the printing paper
is loaded.
4. Turn on the power while pressing and holding the

and
→
keys simultaneously.
The service mode is started.
