1-6-19. Pinch Cam/Head Cam
1. Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-4.)
2. Remove the pinch motor assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-6.)
3. Remove the takeup drive assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-8.)
4. Remove the paper feed plate (L) subassembly.
(Refer to step 20 in Section 1-6-11.)
5. Remove the stepping motor.
(Refer to Section 1-6-16.)
6. Remove the head unit assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-18.)
7. Remove the two helical extension springs
8. Remove the snap ring (E3.0), then remove the IC tag
drive cam (L) and parallel pin.
9. Remove the two bearings (6).
10. Remove the snap ring (E7.0) and parallel pin, then
move the pinch cam (R) in the direction of the arrow

When moving the head cam (R), be careful not to lose
the parallel pin.
11. Remove the pinch cam shaft in the direction of the
arrow

12. Remove the pinch cam (L), parallel pin and snap ring
(E7.0).
13. Remove the two hooks, then remove the head cam (L),
head cam (R) and parallel pin.
14. Remove the two hooks, then remove the pinch cam
(R), head cam (R) and parallel pin.

15. Attach the pinch cam and head cam in the reverse
order of steps 1 to 14.
