CAL (Calibration) Mode
This recorder was calibrated prior to shipment, and these settings are stored in memory.
While frequent calibration is unnecessary, the recorder should be calibrated a few times
a year.

Turn the STAND BY switch ON.

Enter the CAL mode by pressing the SHIFT key and then pressing the MRK/ SLF key
twice within 1 second. “CAL” appears in the bar meter area and calibration is executed.
During the calibration, the OVR marks in the bar meter area indicate the progress.

If no errors are detected by the CAL mode, the “CAL” in the bar meter area is
extinguised.
If any error is detected, the corresponding error code appears in the bar meter area.
Refer to the explanations of the error codes in section 4-4 for the appropriate actions.

To end the calibration part way, press the STOP key. The calibration may stop at the
end of each bandwidth.

CAUTION
•
Start calibration after 15 minutes of the power on.
•
Perform calibration under the actual operating condition.
•
Turn on the power again when the CAL mode will be finished partway.
