Customizing Your Notebook Computer

Selecting the Display Mode

When you connect an external display, you can toggle the display mode
between the LCD on your computer and an external display.

Click the Start button on the Windows 98 taskbar.

Point to Settings and click Control Panel.

Click Display.

Click the Settings tab.

Click the Advanced button.

Click the NeoMagic

tab.

Click Display Options.

Select one of the options under Display Mode:

Display modes

Functions

Monitor

Displays only an external display connected to the
Monitor connector on the port replicator.

LCD Panel

Displays only the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) on
your computer.

Monitor/LCD

Displays simultaneously both the LCD and an external
display connected to the Monitor connector on the port
replicator.
