• When this unit is turned off, the freeze-frame picture
stored to memory is erased.
• The freeze-frame picture stored to memory cannot be
copied to the “Memory Stick”.
• The display of the freeze-frame picture is cancelled
automatically right before the recording starts, and the
video being recorded is displayed on the viewfinder.
• When SLOW SHUTTER is set to ON on the HKDW-
905R Slow Shutter and Image Inverter Board (not
supplied), the freeze-frame picture cannot be displayed.
Also, while the freeze-frame picture is displayed on the
viewfinder, the SLOW SHUTTER setting cannot be set
to ON.
• When IMAGE INVERT is set to ON, the freeze-frame
picture cannot be displayed. Also, while the freeze-
frame picture is displayed on the viewfinder, the IMAGE
INVERT setting cannot be set to ON.
• When Interval Rec function is activated, the freeze-
frame picture cannot be displayed.
• While the freeze-frame picture is displayed, automatic
adjustment of black balance and white balance cannot be
carried out.
• While the freeze-frame picture is displayed, settings on
certain functions cannot be verified. This is due to
limitations of the Freeze Mix function and because of the
limitations, functions which utilize analog circuits
cannot be reflected to the freeze-frame picture display.
For example, the results of gain value setting and the
WHITE BAL switch settings cannot be verified on the
freeze-frame picture.

Menu Settings to the
Standard Settings
You can return all settings in the USER menu to the
standard settings.

Holding down the MENU knob, set the MENU ON/
OFF switch from OFF to ON.
The TOP menu appears.

Turn the MENU knob to move the
b
mark to FILE,
then push the MENU knob.
If this is the first time the OPERATION menu has been
displayed, the CONTENTS page appears.
If the menu has been used before, the page accessed
last appears.

If the CONTENTS page is displayed, turn the MENU
knob to move the
b
mark to USER FILE, then push
the MENU knob.
If a different page is displayed, turn the MENU knob
until the USER FILE page appears, then push the
MENU knob.
The current settings appear on the right side of each
item.

Turn the MENU knob to move the
b
mark to USER
PRESET, then push the MENU knob.
The message “PRESET OK? YES
b
NO” appears.

Turn the MENU knob to move the
b
mark to YES,
then push the MENU knob.
The settings for all items in the USER menu are reset
to the standard settings.
