Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the following diffi culties while using your player, use this
troubleshooting guide to help to remedy the problem prior to calling our hot line. Should
any problem persist, call the consultation hot line: 800-820-9000.
To reset the player
If your player does not operate normally, or if there is no sound, even after checking the
troubleshooting guide below, disconnect the USB cable, and then press the RESET button
for more than one second with a small pin.

Tip
• Pressing the RESET button does not erase any fi les stored in memory, but restores the existent
settings the last time your player was turned off.

• The volume level is set to zero.

Clean the headphone plug with a soft dry cloth.
Buttons do not work.
• The HOLD switch is set to the HOLD position.
Set the HOLD switch to the release position (page 6).
• Your player contains moisture condensation.
Wait a few hours to let your player dry.
• The remaining battery power is insuffi cient.
Charge the battery (page 10).
There is no sound from the right
channel of the headphones.
The headphone jack is not fully inserted.
Connect the headphone jack fully (page 6).
Playback has stopped suddenly.
The remaining battery power is insuffi cient.
Charge the battery (page 10).
The audio fi le cannot be played
back.
Some fi les may not be played back with the player due to
copyright protection.
