Channels - Basic Settings Web Page
The Basic Sengs page is located under the Channels sub tab. It allows the
connecon type and AoIP stream source assignments to be set for all 20
channel buons on the front panel. The other channel opons are shown on
the
web page – see page 36 for details.
Available AoIP Sources
– This dynamic drop down list shows the 3 types of
AoIP sources that are currently visible on the network and available for
selection as a target for a channel. These types are AVN Intercom Devices,
AVN Intercom Devices with IFB and AoIP Streams. To make an assignment,
select a source from the list and then press the assign button on the required
channel. This option is unavailable when the connection type is set to Audio
IO 3.
Channels 1 - 20
– Each row shows the basic settings for the corresponding
channel. The connection type is selected from the drop down list. This
setting selects the type of audio connection that is initiated when the
corresponding channel button is pressed. There are 2 options, AoIP Stream
which connects to a remote intercom device or AoIP stream and Audio IO 3
which allows connection to a legacy 4-wire analogue talkback channel, such
as the Sonifex CM-TB8, via audio input port 3 on the rear panel. When
selecting this connection type, the mode for balanced stereo input 3 will
need to be changed to provide a balanced mono input/output. The audio
input and output signals can then be routed to the 4-wire talkback channel.
See the
web page on page 43 for details. As there is
no network control of the call handling in this scenario, a GPIO input port
could be used to automacally enable the relevant channel when a talk
buon on the 4-wire unit is acvated. See the
web page on
page 47 for details.
