Monitoring the Ethernet Transceiver Status

To monitor the Ethernet Transceiver Port status, type “

access the screen. The following screen will be displayed:

This screen displays 3 fields to monitor for Ethernet Port status:

Link Status.

Link state of Ethernet port. State is either

up

or

down

.

Chip Speed.

Link speed of Ethernet port. If Ethernet transceiver is configured as

auto-negotiate, it will automatically determine the chip speed is either 10 Mbps or
100 Mbps.

Duplex Mode.

Displays the configuration status of the Ethernet transceiver at

either Full or Half duplex.

Routing

Monitoring the routing status consists of two main sections:

IP Status

•

RIP Status

The following sections describe screens and fields for monitoring routing status.

IP Status

Checking IP Protocol Status

Use the IP Protocol Status screen to check the IP protocol status, if packets are
being forwarded correctly, and to troubleshoot routing problems. This screen also
provides you with information on the number and type of packets being routed. To
access this screen, type “
