On the sub unit, go to the RF BW Management Status (2.2.4.1) screen, verify
Bandwidth Mode is “Limited” and the Sub has the correct
configured
amount.
SNMP
Setting Network Management Security Parameters
Use the Network Management Security Configuration screen to set up security
parameters for network management. To access his screen, you must have an
access level of
Super
.
Note:
This screen is not accessible via SNMP.
This screen allows a user of Super User status to configure the SNMP Community
Names and management tool addresses.
Read Community Name.
The read-only community name of the SkyWay agent.
Must match the read community name configured on the Network Management
Station (NMS) to be able to perform get and/or get-next requests from the NMS.
Write Community Name.
The read-write community name of the SkyWay
agent. Must match the write community name configured on the NMS in order to
perform set requests from the NMS to the Skyway.
Trap Community Name.
The trap community name of the SkyWay agent. If
you set Enable Traps to Yes and the NMS expects SNMP traps with community
name, this field must match community name configured on the NMS.
Enable Traps.
Set to Yes to enable SkyWay to log and transmit SNMP traps. Set
a Trap Destination Address to send traps to the NMS.
Authentication Traps.
Set to Yes to cause a trap when an SNMP packet is
received with an incorrect community name.
NMS IP Address 1.
The IP address of the first NMS. This address setting is
optional when using a NMS. This provides an extra layer of security by forcing the
IP addresses to match.
NMS IP Address 2.
The IP address of the second Network Management station.
This address setting is optional when using a NMS. This provides an extra layer of
security by forcing the IP addresses to match.
