SkyWay Series Multi-Point Operator’s Guide
39
The limited management scheme limits the bandwidth by measuring the total
throughput of a station; this entails measuring both the I-frames received and the I-
frames sent. The scheme runs with one-second cumulative windows, which are
leveled out over 5 second blocks. Starvation is avoided by using RNR's to throttle
the bandwidth of the hogging side.
Bandwidth management can be used to configure the amount of bandwidth that
each Sub station will be limited to. The bandwidth can only be configured using
the Base. All Subs can be configured at once or each Sub can be configured
individually.
