Caution

1. Precaution before piping

Before piping is connected, perform an air blow (flushing) or cleaning to remove any

cutting chips, cutting oil and other debris from the piping.

 2. Wrapping of pipe tape

When connecting piping and fittings, etc., prevent cutting chips and sealant material

from getting inside the piping. If a sealant tape is used, leave 1.5 to 2 threads exposed

at the end of the pipe/ fitting.

6) Cushion

Warning

A deceleration circuit or shock absorber may be required.

When a driven object is operated at high speed or the load is heavy, the cushion of the

cylinder will not be sufficient to absorb the shock. Install a deceleration circuit to reduce

the speed before cushioning, or install an external shock absorber to relieve the shock.

In this case, the rigidity of the machinery should also be examined.

Caution

1. Readjust with the cushion needle.

The cushion has been adjusted at the time of shipment. However, before operating the

actuator, readjust the cushion needle on the cover, according to the size of the load

and the operating speed. Turn the cushion needle clockwise to restrict the flow, which

increases the cushioning effect. Occasional readjustment is required as the cushion

seal will become worn and reduce the effectiveness after operating for a long period of

time.

2. Do not operate the actuator with the cushion needle fully closed.

This could damage the seals (excluding the type with no cushion).

3. Do not open the cushion needle too far.

If turned too far in the opening direction (counterclockwise), it may fall off or break. The

cushion needle of the CS1 series is fully opened after 4 turns from the fully closed

state.
