Testing the Fan
You can verify the operation of the fan in two ways:
• Set the parameter “Fan Test“ to “1“ (with Sunny Data, Sunny Data Control or with
the data logger Sunny Boy Control).
or
• Use the jumper on the control board of the Sunny Boy 3800U (see Figure 9-1).
Turn off the AC and DC breakers and wait five minutes until the LEDs got out. Open the
Sunny Boy 3800U and set the jumpers as shown below for fan test. Close the SB3800U
again and switch the AC and the DC breakers on. (The SB3800U will not detect the
jumpers until you cycle power to the inverter.) After testing the fans, remove the jumpers.
