Operating the sleep timer
• The sleep timer allows the system to continue to
operate for a specified period of time before
automatically shutting off.
• To set the receiver to automatically turn off after the
specified period of time.
• Each time this button is pressed, the sleep time
changes and disappears in 3 seconds as follows:

• While operating the sleep timer, “SLEEP” lights up.
Compressing the dynamic range (Dolby Digital sources only)
• This function compresses the dynamic range of previously
specified parts of the Dolby Digital sound track (with
extremely high volume) to minimize the difference in
volume between the specified and non-specified parts.
This makes it easier to hear all of the sound track when
watching movies at night at low levels.
• Pressing the Dynamic Range button activates compression
when a Dolby Digital programs is in surround mode.
• Each time this button is pressed, the mode changes
and disappears in 3 seconds as follows:
DYNR 0.0 : Off
DYNR 0.5 : Low compression
DYNR 1.0 : High compression
• In some Dolby Digital software, this function may
not be available.
• Each time this button is pressed, the brightness of
fluorescent display changes as follows:
ON
dim
OFF
• In the display OFF mode, pressing any button will
restore the display ON mode.
• The audio from the CD and the video from VIDEO
2 will be recorded onto VIDEO 1. The CD's audio
will play over the speakers and the video from
VIDEO 2 will be displayed on the TV.
Note : Be sure to observe the order of the above steps
1 and 2.
Start recording on VIDEO 1.
