QUIPMENT
.
The following equipment is recommended to perform this calibration procedure;
1. A Standard SLE Patient Circuit.
2. A Test Lung.
3. A Calibrated 20MHz+ Storage Oscilloscope.
4. A Calibrated DVM able to resolve 1mV.
5. A Calibrated RT200 Calibration Analyser.
6. A 50ml syringe for generating static pressures.
7. A 2ml syringe for testing trigger sensitivity.
8. A calibrated oxygen analyser able to resolve 0.5% O
2
.
Note: All voltage measurements are to a tolerance of ±1mV unless otherwise stated.
All pressure measurements are to a tolerance of ±1mmH
2
O unless otherwise stated.

Voltage verification and setting.
Check the following pin voltages with mains applied to the unit.
Measure between pins; Voltage
5(GND) and 3 : +5.12V ± 0.1V (see below for adjustment)
5(GND) and 9 : +12V ± 0.36V
5(GND) and 13 : between +22.8 and +26.4V
Monitoring the voltage between pins 5 and 3, adjust the preset R26 on the Power supply unit to give
+5.12V ± 0.1V

Note: This is factory set and should not normally require adjustment on service.
Monitor (U3) pin 11. By adjusting RV10 ascertain the two points where the voltage falls
from 5.12V to 0V, then set RV10 to midway between these positions and ensure that the
voltage on (U3) pin 11 is a cont5.12V.
