Installation of the Separable Speed System aS and the leg Stirrups on the
in-flight direction right side:
The Separable Speed System AS and the Leg Stirrups are installed on the in-flight di-
rection right side so that the Speed System and the Leg Stirrups release from this side
of the harness when the rescue is tripped, eliminating the possibility of rescue entan-
glement. The Separable Speed System and the Leg Stirrups should be installed as fol-
lows.
1
First, the unspliced end of the right, gray accelerator line on the right side of the
harness is fed through the small ring, then inside through the grommet on the
harness and then threaded through both pulleys in the seat board area(Situation2).
Then the lines are fed through the pulley attached to the brummel hook and led back
downward into the harness(Situation4). In the area of the rear pulley on the end of the
seat board, there is also a grommet. Lastly, the gray accelerator line is knotted to the
grommet by means of a palstek(Situation3). By shifting the knot, the correct length of
the accelerator is adjusted. (Compare with principle sketch above!)

Closing the coupling of Speed System and Leg Stirrups:
Now thread the gray accelerator line of the Separable Speed System AS, which is
already thread through the harness, through the pulley on the speedbar. In addition, the
Speedbar should be connected by means of the central velcro strap on the front sleeve
of the rescue container.
In the second step, this line is fed through the grommet on the neoprene cover on the
Leg Stirrups. Next, stick the grey accel-
erator line from above through both
white coupling loops. After the line
exits the grommet, it should hang
free.
