Control Functions
It is the responsibility of the operator to read, completely understand and follow all instructions and warnings
contained in this operating manual and on the aerial platform.
2.2-5 Brake System
The brake system is located on the main manifold in
the hydraulic/electrical compartment. The brake must
be manually disengaged before pushing, winching or
towing. Refer to
release the brake manually. The system contains the

2.2-6 Propane Cylinder (If Equipped)
The propane cylinder is located on the base of the aerial
platform. It has the following control:

Cylinder Main Valve
- Turn this valve clockwise
to shut off the fuel supply; counterclockwise to
open it.
2.2-7 Emergency Lowering System
This emergency lowering system allows platform
lowering in the event of an emergency or an electrical
system failure. Refer to
for the emergency
lowering procedures. The system contains the following
controls:

Holding Valve Manual Override Knob
- Located
on the holding valve at the bottom of each lift
cylinder.

Emergency Lowering Valve
- Located at the rear
of the hydraulic/electrical compartment.

Emergency Lowering Access Rod
- Located at
the side of the base.
Model 9250
This emergency lowering system is located on the
hydraulic tank and is accessed through a hole in the
hydraulic/electrical compartment door.
