Full instructions are given on screen. Enter the required time first in the format HH:MM:SS, and
press Y to confirm. Note that the clock starts only when the date is confirmed and entered, so
you may choose to set the time 10 seconds or so ahead at this point.
Enter the required date in the format DD.MM.YY and press Y to confirm. You will receive a
confirmation message that the clock is now running, and will return to the Main Menu.
NOTE – always press Escape to leave Main Menu mode and return to Log Mode. Else the
logger will not record any data and batteries will drain quickly.
4.2.8 Option 7 - Set Datafile Identifier, Plus Memory Overwrite & Timed Logging
Modes
This option displays a sub-menu requesting the user to select which options to set, as below:

Option 0 – Enable memory Overwrite will enable the D ’s memory to overwrite in a
loop, so that the oldest records are overwritten with the latest data. Your choice is confirmed
on the screen.
Option 1 – Disable Memory Overwrite will disable the overwrite option so that the
D will stop logging and emit a regular series of beeps (at each logging interval)
when the memory is full. Your choice is confirmed on the screen.
Option 2 is not available.
Option 3 – Set Log Start / Stop Time allows logger setup if a timed logging period is
required, and displays a further submenu as follows:
00) - DISABLE LOGGING START / STOP TIME
01) - ENABLE LOGGING START / STOP TIME
02) - ENTER THE LOGGING START TIME
03) - ENTER THE LOGGING STOP TIME
Option 00 is used if timed logging is not required, or is to be disabled. Confirmation that
normal logging mode has been resumed is seen on screen.
