VEHICLE WARM-UP
Before every ride, vehicle has to be warmed up as follows.
Snowmobile must be securely supported by the rear bumper using
a wide base mechanical snowmobile stand (P/N 529 020 000). Track
must be 100 mm (4 in) off the ground.
A. 100 mm (4 in)
Attach tether cord to operator’s clothing.
Start engine and allow it to warm up two or three minutes at idle speed.
Release parking brake.
Apply throttle until drive pulley engages. Let track rotate at low speed
for several turns. The lower the vehicle temperature is the longer
vehicle warm-up should be.
Shut off the engine and remove the snowmobile mechanical stand.
Skis may be frozen on the ground. Grasp both skis by their loops and
lift them.
After restarting engine, the vehicle must be driven at low speed for
the first 2 or 3 minutes. After that, it may be driven up to the legal
speed limit as per normal safety practices.
WARNING
Make sure mechanical snowmobile stand is stable. Stay clear
of the front of vehicle and the track. Do not use too much throt-
tle during warm-up or when track is free-hanging.
