second fill is three points or more drier than the initial fill, add layers equal to the initial fill depth every
7-10 days until the bin is full.
Continue to operate the fan and heater until grain is dry- or average temperature dips below 30 degrees
F and the average moisture content is 18% or less. Do not stop fan on warm, foggy, or rainy days. Air
movement cools and controls heating of the grain, even if the drying slows. Letting the fan run on these
types of days also helps to equalize moisture difference from top to bottom of the bin.
Stop fans and close hatches when top layer is uniformly dry and cool.
