Disassembly
1. Remove the battery, keyboard, CPU, hard disk drive, CD/DVD-ROM drive, DDR, modem card and LCD
assembly. (Refer to sections 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.4, 2.3.5, 2.3.6, 2.3.7 and 2.3.8 Disassembly)
2. Disconnect the touch pad’s cable and the cover switch’s cable from the system board, then remove the eight
screws fastening the top cover. (Figure 2-24)
3. Disconnect the woofer speaker’s cable from the system board, then remove the sixteen screws fastening the
housing and free the housing. (Figure 2-25)
